John Cena Grants a Wish at RAW, Offers Family WrestleMania Tickets

– We noted a few months back that 12 year old Dylan Christian from Cleveland, Ohio wanted to meet his hero John Cena when WWE returned to Cleveland for last night’s RAW Supershow. Dylan has had a total of 4 types of cancer and lost an eye to the disease. He also lost his mother last year after a cancer diagnosis. FOX 8 and people in Cleveland were working hard to arrange the meeting and it finally happened last night.

Cena has offered Dylan and his family round-trip tickets to attend WrestleMania 28 in Miami but the trip will depend on Dylan’s health.

Cena wrote the following on Twitter this morning:

“Thanks @fox8news and as always thanks to #makeawish for making great things happen. Ill see Dylan at #WM28”

Here is the news video from FOX 8:

  • Hate John cena….but after watching this….I respect him as out of character……if he kan be this thugsnomics guy again…I’ll consider being a fan of cena again

  • Soulshroude

Now that is fucking fantastic! You see? Out of character, Johnny boy is a very strong humanitarian. I have been greatly leaning toward him for the WWM match vs Dwayne. He is definitely growing on me as the future Hulk Hogan version 2!!

  • black sincarsa

aww thats nice that kid got free wresmaina tickets 🙂 i feel bad for the kid

  • voice of reason

this story brings a tear to my eyes what an amazing & tough kid i think john’s work outside the ring with charities is such an amazing thing love or hat the charecter but you have to admire his charity work.

  • JIR

I hate the Cena character but this is how he carries himself out of the ring and that I like and respect

  • Whocares

How could they turn cena heal with all of the charity and pr he does? Who could possibly take his place?
He is a great guy to do this kind of thing so much. And I don’t think I’ve ever once heard him brag about it either.

  • drizzt

This is why WWE will not turn Cena heel. This is what he is great at. His character carries too many younger fans.

  • Mark

awwww poor kid, feel so sorry for him. Cena is genuinely a nice guy and I dont think anyone who doesnt like him as a wrestler is arguing about that. I guess its more his wrestling character and how stale he has got. Cena as a person I have nothing but respect for .

  • heyfit

    ROCK sold out.
    he would never do this.

  • Tommy

I’m not a Cena’s fan but when i see this i can see the type of person he is. I have a lot of respect for him.

  • Marradon

When John Cena does stuff like this he really lives up to his name of Super Cena.

  • Sammo

Amen. WWE’s work with various children’s charities has always been so commendable. It’s not just an isolated gesture here and there – but week in, week out throughout the year the company and its employees are always seeking to bring a ray of sunshine into the lives of sick kids.

As far as I’m concerned, there’s nothing more tragic on this planet than terminally sick children, so long may WWE’s charitable efforts continue.

  • Buttercastle

Poor little guy. That’s why I have so much respect for Cena, always trying to brighten up someone’s life.
