John Cena lands huge part in Transformers spin-off movie

John Cena is a WWE Superstar and shoo-in for an eventual WWE Hall Of Fame induction. But it seems that what John Cena does outside of the ring is getting him even more attention than his sixteen WWE Championship reigns have ever been able to do for him. True, WWE brought John Cena to the dance but it was his supreme acting skills and ability to work the media that made him a bonafide Hollywood celebrity and leading man.

Fans might miss seeing Super Cena in the WWE Universe. But now The Hollywood Reporter says John Cena has landed an even bigger role and it’ll all go down in the popular Transformers universe.

Cena is set to star in a lead role for the upcoming “Bumblebee” film. This upcoming Paramount Pictures film is slated to costar Hailee Steinfeld and will have Travis Knight from “Kubo and the Two Strings” at the helm. But of course, John Cena’s involvement is what really piques our interest in the project.

According to The Hollywood Reporter the plot of the movie will go as follows:

“The story is set in the year 1987, where Bumblebee finds refuge in a junkyard in a small Californian beach town. Charlie (Steinfeld), on the cusp of turning 18 and trying to find her place in the world, discovers Bumblebee, battle-scarred and broken. When Charlie revives him, she quickly learns this is no ordinary, yellow VW bug.”

So will you be lining up to see Bumblebee when it comes out so you can see how John Cena saves the world? You’ll have to wait for December, 21 2018 when it is scheduled to be released in order to see the film so there’s plenty of time to build anticipation. The film is placed in a pretty key premiere date as well not only because it’s four days before Christmas, but it will also collide with Aquaman during its opening weekend.
