John Cena on what he would like to do after retiring from wrestling

The poster boy of WWE John Cena recently appeared on the Playback podcast and talked about various things including what he would like to do after hanging his boots.

According to the 16-time world Champion, he would love to have a position like Triple H where he can wear a suit and do something like what The Game has done with NXT:

“Yeah, people don’t understand it’s a business of creativity and I’m wearing a suit right now because I’m comfortable in a suit. Everyone’s like, ‘ah, dress casual.’ This is my casual. I don’t mind being in a suit. I have a more Vince [McMahon] style than I have a Triple H style, but you get to be creative. What Triple H has done with NXT is literally creating another functioning brand for the company.”

Continuing on the topic, Cena who lives close to the WWE Performance Centre in Orlando claimed that he would love to go there regularly and give advice to younger talents:

“I would love to do something like that and I don’t even mean in that major of a capacity. I live very close to the [WWE] Performance Centre in Orlando [Florida]. I would love to just go there every day and give advice.”

Though talking about when he’ll be done with WWE, the former World Champion said that the company will have to tell him to go away instead of the other way around and when it happens, he will walk away with a smile on his face:

“They would have to tell me that they don’t need me anymore. And trust me, after 15 years of service, if they tell me that, I walk away with a stern handshake, a genuine smile, and a heartfelt ‘thank you’ because I’ve overstayed my welcome in some aspects. Until they say that, I’d like to think that I can contribute in some capacity.”

Apart from this, John also claimed that proposing Nikki Bella at WrestleMania 33 was his favourite moment in WWE and he stated that Undertake vs. Shawn Michaels at WrestleMania 25 is the greatest match he has ever seen.

It’s worth noticing that John Cena is currently taking time away from WWE, but he recently made a tweet, teasing that he might be returning as soon as this Tuesday.
