We reported before that John Cena was rumored to be one of the front-runners for a role in the announced superhero movie Shazam, which is based on a character of DC Comics.
However, Pwinsider is reporting that ‘a well-placed’ source has told them that the Leader Of Cenation is not being considered for the role anymore.
While Cena reportedly met with the director of the film David F. Sandberg last month, he didn’t make it to the final list of stars who may play this role and is no longer in line for this superhero movie.
Shazam is a superhero from DC Comics. He is actually a young teenage boy who gains the powers of Gods and he can turn into a fully grown man with superpowers when he says the word Shazam.
As we noted before John Cena will be missing the upcoming TLC PPV, though he is still expected to be a part of Survivor Series. No news yet on who will be his opponent for the event.
