John Cena officially removed from Crown Jewel, replacement announced

John Cena’s status for the upcoming Crown Jewel event was in suspense since the report of him declining to work the show came out.

Now the company has confirmed that Cena will not be working at the upcoming show and they have announced a replacement for the former World Champion as well.

Bobby Lashley faced Finn Balor in a one on one match during the latest episode of Raw but the former Impact Star got disqualified when Lio Rush interfered in the bout.

Bobby went on to unleash an assault on Balor after the bout got over and as a reward, acting GM Baron Corbin announced that he will replace John Cena at the upcoming PPV.

As we noted before WWE has announced a Daniel Bryan segment for this week’s SmackDown Live among some other things.

With Bryan being the second star who was reported to have refused to work the show, it would be interesting to see if the officials have been able to convince him or if we’ll see a replacement for him being announced for the show as well.
