I really don’t think Cena has the power. Remember the rib McMahon did on Ryder in his hometown? If Cena had the “power” he wouldn’t have had that happen as he was said to go to McMahon and tell him it wasn’t cool. Too many people are at the top of the food chain at WWE and while I’m sure Cena helps with his own storyline’s, I don’t think he has that much pull for someone else.

McMahon knows the fans want to see Ryder. I think he is waiting for special moment for him to show up. Sort of like a big debut or something. I guess we’ll have to keep waiting. It would be really messed up if he gets released.

Bill and Rucdogg are right. If Cena felt so strongly about this, he has the power to do something about it. He’s just sucking up to the marks out there.

I wonder how CM Punk feels about Rock playing a part in GI JOE, since PUNK is a huge fan of GI JOE.

You guys are forgetting Cena tried to give Borune(To Job) a push but I’m sure we all see how those plans turned out after his 1 time main eventing. I don’t think he has the kind of power we all seem to think he has.

Man GI Joe came out like 3 years ago, why the hell are they just now shooting another movie, I dont even remember how the first one ended. Cena is just trying to get over with the social network crowd that isnt 9 and under.

    @ Bill – well said.

I think Vince and Co. may drop the ball with Ryder. They need to strike while the iron is hot, not when fans are already starting to get sick of him. The excitement will already be worn off by the time they get him some legit TV time.

Maybe I’m just cynical, but methinks Cena has noticed that the fans who want to see Ryder don’t want to see him, and is hoping that maybe we’ll like him if he supports Ryder.

  • Bill

If Cena REALLY wanted to get Ryder on TV, he could do it. He’s the top star in the company, so if he wanted something, he could get it. But he won’t. He’ll never use backstage politics to get what he wants. That’s why Vince likes him. He makes McMahon money, but doesn’t make him trouble. Essentially, Cena is unintentionally kissing Vince’s ass.

Like Punk said – Vince makes money in spite of himself.
