Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa signed with NXT when WWE had no contracts to offer them. However, they stayed with the company nonetheless. Through sheer determination and hard work, they are now both top superstars with solid contracts.
Gargano spoke to the Orlando Sentinel, where he discussed the overall morale of the NXT locker room. He said there are times when they can’t believe they are making a living doing what they do.
“I don’t know how many times we’ve all been in the locker room and said we can’t believe we’re all here doing this thing. We’ve all supported one another; some of us have known each other for 10 years and been around the world together. In a sense, we’ve grown up together, and to be a part of the NXT team together is truly special.”
Many indie talents came to NXT and have made a name for themselves. NXT continues to grow and provide the best matches in WWE and that certainly won’t be changing anytime soon.
