Kane On His Character, WrestleMania 32 And His Future In WWE

Kane spoke with The Wig to promote WrestleMania 32. Here are the highlights.

On his WWE career:

“I’ve been fortunate,” Kane said of his health and longevity. “As far as what I can control, I just try to take care of myself, stay in good shape and frankly, to be a big guy helps as well. Even though I do some things like fly off the top. I also don’t take as many risks as some of the smaller guys do so I think that’s helped me as well.”

“I’ve been pretty fortunate in that I haven’t had many injuries,” he said. “I’ve broken my hand, I threw my back out once and then I’ve had some pretty bad cuts, but that’s been about it,” he said, adding that he has a chronic knee injury that dates back to his college football days. “I’ve been able to avoid most of the really, really bad injuries and career-ending injuries.”

On WrestleMania 32:

“WrestleMania is a lot of fun for all of us,” Kane said. “It’s just completely different than what we do for the rest of the year. You go out there before the show, and you see the setup, and it’s just amazing because it’s just this mammoth structure and all the stage and everything, it’s just really over the top.”

On his character:

“It’s a character I play on TV,” he said. “I wonder sometimes if people out there realize that. I think some people take it a little too seriously. Not everybody, but some people do.”

On if WrestleMania 32 will be his last:

“Who knows, man. I’m still having a good time, and I think I’m still performing at a pretty high level as well, so as long as I can do that, and I’m good, then I’ll hang around.”
