Xavier Woods’ video game prowess is something that has been advertised repeatedly on the WWE, as his YouTube Channel, UpUpDownDown, has been used to promote games that were sponsoring WWE events. The channel has reached 1.5 million subscribers at this point.
Kenny Omega is a known video game fan and avid Street Fighter player. Omega has a YouTube Channel which features footage of him playing Street Fighter V along with other games, though it hasn’t been updated in a year.
The two men have been a big part of video game culture, with both of them appearing on video game web series like Excellent Adventures. Kenny Omega even faced off against Xavier Woods at CEO 2016 in an exhibition, where Omega trounced the New Day Member. Now it seems their love for gaming has finally gotten them a chance to be a part of the latest game in the Street Fighter franchise, in a sense.
Street Fighter V released a trailer for one of their DLC characters, Cody Travers, a staple in the franchise since Street Fighter Alpha 3 in 1998. In the trailer, Kenny Omega plays Cody, while Xavier Woods taunts him over the phone.
Cody will be available for Street Fighter 5 on June 26.
