The New World Order created chaos in the ranks of World Championship Wrestling as the renegade faction sought success by any means necessary. Now, group founder Kevin Nash is looking to reform the nefarious faction and run roughshod over the world of wrestling once again.

“A lot of you wanted an NWO reunion, there will be one. As you know we only come in take over mode. Stay tuned!!!,” he announced Tuesday night via Twitter.

The group’s reformation could take place in WWE and if Nash has his wish fulfilled, with CM Punk as their leader. Nash tweeted to a fan that he wants the WWE Champion as group captain with the “NWO army to protect the gold.”

“Rock will never walk out of the Rumble with the belt. We got Phil’s back,” he adds.

Meanwhile, TNA Wrestling executive Eric Bischoff re-tweeted Nash’s announcement reading “A lot of you wanted an NWO reunion, there will be one. As you know we only come in take over mode. Stay tuned!!!”

A new NWO? Punk in the NWO? I love it! Hope this happens, I think Dean Ambrose would be a great edition. I wonder if the fake Dean Ambrose get’s in my grill lol.

Can we see NWO reform in WWE, with Cena turning?

Nobody thought Hogan would ever turn.. but he did & history was made. Can we see the same with Cena?

  • Buttercastle

Didn’t Nash have a feud with Punk the last time we saw him?

  • what?

o great another nwo storyline wasn’t that great seeing the same crap over and over again when they did it in wcw can’t anybody come up with any new ideas?

  • hitmanmontreal

Nash , Hall , Syxx , Eric Bichop , Scott Steiner , Vincent , Ted Dibiase , Buff Bagwell , Big Show … are still around add names like … CM Punk , Ted Dibiase jr , Wade Barrett and a up coming young tag-team and we could get a pretty good damn feud and stable in Wwe from november t’il April wrestlemania ;)about 6 months could give them credibility.

D-X could be : HHH – BILLY GUNN – ROAD DOGG – X-PAC (turning down nwo) add hbk apperance for wrestlemania and add small midget like hornsw to get this interesting i could see that have a major impact in the rating wwe raw need a 5.2 – 6.5 ratting with a 3 hours show

  • adam

@poko. If punk is in the NWO group i dont think cena will be able to just run threw them because punk does very good against cena. Which is why i liked when he joined the nexus but then that kinda fizzled. The nexus was a great idea its to bad wwe killed it by having super cena kill them.

  • poko

The NWO worked with the WCW because they went big. It was the entire company, the entire roster, against the NWO.

I don’t see that working now. The WWE would do exactly what they did with the Nexus, which is turn it into a feud with the whole group against John Cena, and Cena would beat them all within a couple of months. The NWO kicked everyone’s ass, and it took all the top names to fight back. When Cena runs over them BY HIMSELF it would just make the invasion look weak, which would lead to viewer apathy.

  • adam

i am not sure if they would do that in tna since there already doing the aces and eights invasion and plus with the immortal storyline. And they really cant be the NWO there cause wwe owns the group name and music so.

  • Erik

Hmm… This nWo rumor sounds like he’s messing with us. The only way I can see this happening is as follows:

    Leader: CM Punk (WWE Champion)
    Recruiter: Kevin Nash
    Enforcer: Big Show

Those 3 CAN do it but then they can add more heels to the stable. Heels that could work like Lord Tensai & Drew Mcintyre (His beef could be he is never used on tv).

  • Automattic

I loved the old NWO…but it’s time to leave it to rest. WCW tried to bring it back with the NWO 2000, and that was a bust. Then WWE tried, and it just wasn’t the same. I don’t want it to get the DX treatment, where everyone is cracking on the current DX when they have reunions because it’s not the same as it once was. DX and the NWO were both revolutionary, but trying to recreate them doesn’t hold the same magic.

I’d like to see WWE try a new group, like what TNA is doing with this Aces of Eights thing. The Evolution stable showed us that WWE can make a legitimate new faction, and I think wrestling needs one again.

  • The Irishbulldog

Um…aren’t half of the NWO members dead? Or old and can barely move anymore…Oh id love to see all of them again….in wheelchairs ;)

  • SYM

@Devil_Rising your just mad because no one in the Nexus group came from ROH or the independent circuit. Your a Garbage Wrestling Fan. As for you nWo comment way to state the obvious.

  • Devil_Rising

    @Biff

Nexus got stale for one simple reason:

NOBODY CARED ABOUT THE GUYS IN IT. Still, nobody cares. Those guys were a bunch of NXT rejects, and honestly Wade Barret is one of the single most boring wrestlers (character AND wrestling) I’ve ever had to watch.

NWO was exciting because people KNEW who Hall and Nash were. Hogan was THE biggest star in the industry, and he turned heel for the first time since he’d become well known. It was big news. They treated it like an “out of control gang war” early on. And it WAS ratings worthy. But I think you’re also forgetting that WCW eventually didn’t know how to handle the NWO either. And if you listen to guys like Guerrero, Benoit, Jericho, Mysterio, etc., they’ll all tell you that the other guys on the roster (except for the few top faces who were fighting them) got sick of the NWO hogging all the air time, and coming out and beating them up during matches all the time. And quite frankly, it DID get lame.

The NWO long-overstayed it’s welcome in WCW. In WWE, it COULD have worked, but Nash hurt his fucking knee the second he stepped back into a WWE ring to work a match. Their momentum was killed by him hurting his arm in the first place, and then there was HUGE hype when he returned, and they had Show and X-Pac, but then he hurt his knee, and that was that. No more NWO. Point being, it could have worked, but shit happens. I’m not one to defend Vince. He certainly dropped the ball on how he handled the Invasion angle. But he basically didn’t even have TIME to really ruin the NWO, because Nash couldn’t stay healthy long enough for the NWO to matter.

    AWWWWWW SHUCKY DUCKY!!!!!!

  • new new world order

That would make Punk an even bigger heel if he goes with Nash nWo! it would be epic with them 2 on the mic together maybe chuck in R Truth and youd be good to go! either that or a DX vs nWo match

  • RPM

you wouldn’t be able to spray paint people either this time because it would be against bullying or some ozone layer defense group

  • mark

That would be great new generation of the NWO with Punk as the leader.

  • Biff Tannen

WWE have proven in the past that they can’t work a story like this. They still can’t put their fingers on why WCW was winning the Monday night wars for all those weeks! It’s simple: you HAD to tune in each week to see what was joining next!

WWE had the nWo and did nothing with it, they had Nexus and for a short while tried, but failed. Nothing beats the Outsiders take over, Hogan heel turn and everything else! WWE came close with Nexus, but couldn’t keep it going. I think Vince has or thinks his viewers have ADD.

…but punk and Nash nWo…hell, yeah, I want to see that, even if Vince does F it up!

  • RPM

rumble is a long ways off.. if nwo reformed even in nov/dec i would be surprised if it wasn’t stale by rumble.

Is it cool as hell if they do it? yes, but im not sure it would ever happen.

  • RAZOPOWER

Um TNA can’t use the Term nWo… Anyway Punk is the only guy that fit in with a new nWo

  • [email protected]

could the aces and 8′s be revealed as the new nwo?

  • Stu

Scott Hall will not be in a WWE match,
Let us all assume that for whatever reason Nash isn’t just pandering and a NWO reunion is actually in the works. It would probably be with new guys forming a new faction under the guidance of Nash. Could Punk be involved in that angle? Maybe. It would be interesting.

Now how about this, maybe he is talking about “Phil” AKA Punk but it is just a cover. Easy E’ retweeted that original NWO tweet. Maybe the Punk talk is just a ploy…a ploy to cover up that Aces and 8s. The Deadmans Hand is really the new NWO and Nash will return to lead that new stable.

  • sepulz

    @DFlo

Don’t worry you wont….he’ll no show all his advertised appearances

  • DFlo

I’m not really into seeing Scott Hall as a performer at this point in time.

  • ice-cream bar superstar

Nash is probably just fucking with us. There were nWo rumours last year too. It’s time to move on.

  • Undertaker

    Brothers of Destruction>NWO

  • Bawb

I can’t quite believe this article because of the tone. You it write like it were a tabloid, Pena. Just write it without coloring it.

  • Haha

Nwo vs dx…. DX will wipe the floor with them

  • Pissed Off Fan =(

Holy crap! Is this the big storyline that WWE has planned?! That would be awwwwwesome!

  • Undertaker

Lets see who’s the first member of NWO to break their knee cap protecting cm punk.
