Kurt Angle Announces Tough Man Tournament, Update on This Week’s TNA Attendance, More

– Indie wrestler Brute VanSlyke worked a tryout match at this week’s TNA Impact Wrestling tapings in Bethlehem, PA.

– Kurt Angle has announced a Toughest Man In New York City tournament. The winners of the first series of matches will advance to a 5-man finals match. Names confirmed so far are MVP, Abyss, Magnus, Robbie E and Austin Aries with the other 5 names being announced soon.

– While one fan said there were more like 1,000 fans in attendance for Tuesday night’s TNA tapings in Bethlehem, another fan wrote to us and said our earlier report of 250-400 fans was being very generous. Reader Bill Duane wrote that security did a lot of shifting around to fill in the front rows with fans. He called the arena a “ghost town.”

We haven’t heard anything on Wednesday night’s attendance but two fans at Thursday night’s tapings noted that TNA would be lucky if they had 400 fans there.
