– On this day back in 2000, WCW held their final The Great American Bash pay-per-view. The main event saw Jeff Jarrett defeat Kevin Nash to retain the World Heavyweight Title.

– WWE Tough Enough winner Andy announced on Twitter that his son was born yesterday. Balder Joe-Augustus Leavine was born at 8 pounds and 4 ounces.

– Averno has been doing a press tour in Mexico to assure everyone that he isn’t leaving to go work with WWE. Averno has also been promoting his big match with CMLL next Friday night. Even Averno’s father, who referees for CMLL, is backing off of his previous statements saying that his son was leaving for WWE. At the same time, nobody believes that Averno is staying in Mexico.

– After this past Thursday’s FCW tapings in Orlando, two top former independent wrestling stars are now feuding in WWE developmental – Seth Rollins (Tyler Black) and Dean Ambrose (Jon Moxley). Ambrose also made his FCW TV debut against Hunico.
