Lio Rush may have launched his music career this year, dropping his first single titled, “Money Money,” with his longtime friend DRETT1, but his career in the WWE hasn’t gone as planned.
The former CZW and ROH star lit up the wrestling world in his first few years, capturing the CZW Heavyweight and Wired Championships, and winning ROH’s Top Prospect Tournament in 2016. His signing to the WWE in August 2017 excited the wrestling world. However, Rush wouldn’t get past his second NXT appearance before a poorly timed tweet landed him in hot water.
However, with a move to 205 Live, his issues in NXT are hopefully behind him. The Man of the Hour’s imminent debut was announced tonight on 205 after a match involving TJP and a local competitor. Rush told the WWE Universe and the cruiserweights that they’re about to feel the Rush.
205 Live does seem like the right place for Rush, at least for the time being. Who would you like to see him feud with upon his arrival to the purple brand?
