WWE RAW Report – 4/13/15

– Tonight’s WWE RAW opens up from the O2 Arena in London, England with pyro going off. Michael Cole welcomes us and he’s joined by Booker T and JBL.

 


 

– We go to the ring and out comes WWE United States Champion John Cena. Fans sing “John Cena sucks” along with his theme song. JBL welcomes Cole back. Cole says he’s feeling OK and will give an update later.

Cena talks about how London doesn’t always like him as they continue to boo him. Cena goes on and says London deserves a WrestleMania, which gets a big pop. Cena says those in charge have decided that the London fans will have to wait, just like Rusev has decided they can’t fight until Extreme Rules. Cena issues his US Open Challenge and out comes Bad News Barrett to a big pop.

WWE United States Title Match: Bad News Barrett vs. John Cena

Barrett makes his way to the ramp as fans chant his name. Barrett has a mic but can’t talk for all the chants. Barrett thanks the fans back. Barrett cuts a promo on taking the title from Cena tonight. We get formal ring introductions from Eden.

Back from the break and they go at it. Cena takes Barrett down with a headlock. Barrett comes back and kicks Cena out of the ring with a kick. The crowd is very loud tonight. Cena comes back in and takes Barrett back down. Barrett fights out and drops Cena for a 2 count. Cena comes back but misses a shoulder and lands on the mat. Barrett with knees against the ropes now. Barrett boots Cena out to the floor and nails an elbow drop off the apron. Barrett brings Cena back in for a 2 count. Cena comes back with a dropkick. Cena goes to the top and nails a crossbody for a 2 count. Cena slams Barrett and calls for the Five Knuckle Shuffle but Barrett rolls to the floor. Cena goes after him but Barrett takes control on the floor, sending Cena into the steel steps. Barrett brings it back in for a 2 count. Barrett misses an elbow drop out of the corner. Cena nails the Five Knuckle Shuffle to boos. Cena goes for the Attitude Adjustment but Barrett slides out and hits Winds of Change for 2.

More back and forth now. Cena runs into an elbow. Barrett with a snap suplex out of the corner for a 2 count. Cena comes back with the STF but Barrett makes it to the bottom rope. Barrett with a pair of big kicks for a close 2 count. They get up and trade shots in the middle of the ring. Barrett connects with another big kick and then Wasteland for a 2 count. Barrett goes for the Bullhammer but it’s blocked and Cena hits the AA for a 2 count. Cena goes for another AA but it’s blocked. Barrett nails another Bullhammer for another close 2 count. Barrett readies for another Bullhammer but Cena ducks and hits the second rope stunner. Cena connects with another AA for the win.

Winner: John Cena

– After the match, Cena has his arm raised as we go to replays. Rusev’s music hits and out comes Lana to the stage to a pop. Lana speaks while Rusev sneaks up and lays Cena out with a chain from behind. Lana says The Authority has granted them a stipulation for their Extreme Rules match – it will now be a Russian Chain Match. Rusev holds the chain over Cena and yells at him. Rusev raises the title and the chain as the Russian flag drops down and his music hits.

– It’s announced that Randy Orton and Seth Rollins will have the chance to pick a stipulation for their Extreme Rules match. Orton will be in action against Cesaro and Rollins will face Dolph Ziggler.

Divas Battle Royal: Paige, Summer Rae, Cameron, Natalya, Alicia Fox, Rosa Mendes, Emma, Naomi

We go to the ring and out comes WWE Divas Champion Nikki Bella with Brie Bella. They walk down for commentary as we go to commercial.

We come back and Natalya is greeting fans at ringside as other Divas wait in the ring. Paige is out next to a huge pop. The bell rings and they go at it. Natalya works on Summer, kicking her to the apron. Rosa comes over and kicks them both out. Natalya and Summer are eliminated. Emma hits Rosa from behind and eliminates her. Emma goes at it with Alicia now.

Emma gets knocked off the top and she is eliminated. Alicia drops Naomi next. Cameron and Alicia team up on Paige as fans boo. They try to eliminate Paige but she fights back in. Cameron with a kick to Paige’s face. They double team her again but she hangs on and slides back in. Naomi hits a double Rear View on Alicia and Cameron. Paige tosses Cameron and Alicia gets tossed by Naomi. Paige and Naomi go at it now. Naomi with a kick to the head from the apron. They both struggle down on the apron but keep fighting. Paige gets up and hits a bunch of knees on the apron as fans cheer. Naomi drops her but Paige hangs on. They come back in and Naomi connects with a kick to the head. Paige ducks a Rear View and nails a kick. Paige eliminates Naomi for the win.

Winner and New #1 Contender: Paige

– After the match, Paige celebrates as The Bella Twins stand up. Nikki taunts Paige with the title but she invites her to come in the ring.

– Still to come, Roman Reigns will discuss WrestleMania 31. Back to commercial.

– Back from the break and Byron Saxton is in the ring with Paige. He congratulates her on being the #1 contender and she gets a pop. Paige brings up winning the Divas Title on her debut and winning at WrestleMania 31 but says nothing feels better than winning this Battle Royal in her home country. Paige says this is where she started with her family and talks about coming up to make it to WWE. She mentions her family in the crowd and says this is her house to another pop. Saxton asks if she has any words for Nikki Bella. Naomi attacks her out of nowhere and they tumble out of the ring to the floor. Naomi unloads and throws Paige into the barrier repeatedly. Fans boo Naomi. Naomi talks some trash and slaps Paige around before throwing her hard into the barrier. Naomi talks some more trash and leaves Paige laying as a referee checks on her and fans boo.

– We get a backstage promo from Bray Wyatt. He has a message for his next opponent and says he’s going to rip the love out of their body and replace it with good old-fashioned fear. Wyatt says fear is stronger than any love could be. We go back to commercial.

Sin Cara and Kalisto vs. The Ascension

Back from the break and The Lucha Dragons are making their way out as Konnor and Viktor of The Ascension wait at ringside. Cole introduces the announce team from Spain. Konnor starts off with Sin Cara and takes him to the corner. More offense and a 2 count as a NXT chant breaks out. Konnor with another 2 count.

Viktor comes in and keeps control. Konnor tags back in and goes for Kalisto but he drops off the apron. Cara fights back and nails a dropkick. Fans chant “lucha” as Kalisto tags in and unloads on Viktor. Kalisto drops Viktor on his face for a 2 count but Konnor breaks the pin. Kalisto sends Konnor to floor and takes out Viktor. Cara runs the ropes and takes out Konnor on the floor. They both come back in and hit the double team on Viktor for the win.

Winners: The Lucha Dragons

– The announcers plug the WWE Network.

– Still to come, Roman Reigns will speak. Back to commercial.

– Back from the break and Booker T is in the ring. He introduces Roman Reigns, who enters through the crowd.

Booker asks about the match against Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 31 and how Seth Rollins ripped the opportunity from him. A “Suplex City” chant breaks out. Reigns says he did go there and it didn’t feel good but he’s here. He said they didn’t lie, they gave us a brutal fight. Reigns says he did what he said would do, he hit The Beast in the mouth. Reigns says he made Lesnar look different. Reigns says he also proved he could win but Rollins capitalized on the moment and took Reigns’ moment. Reigns says he’s beaten Rollins before and that means he will become WWE World Heavyweight Champion. Fans boo. Booker brings up how Big Show cost Reigns the title shot at Extreme Rules. A “thank you Big Show” chant starts up. Reigns says Show screwed him. Reigns says Show has done great things but lately he’s just been a giant bitch. Show appears on the big screen.

Show says nothing takes away the fact that Reigns failed at WrestleMania. He rubs it in and touts his victory in the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal. Show calls Reigns a bum. Show says his mission is to make Reigns the most epic failure in WWE history. Show says he knocked Reigns out last week and from now on, Show will be there waiting every time Reigns tries to get up to knock him back down. A “boring” chant breaks out at Show’s promo. Reigns calls Show a Jumbotron Giant. Reigns says Show doesn’t have the balls to come talk trash to his face. Reigns goes on and threatens to shove the Battle Royal trophy down Show’s throat and retire him. Reigns tells Show to believe that and drops the mic as his music hits. Reigns makes his way up the ramp but Show meets him and throws him into the LED board. Show works Reigns over and throws him into the side of the taxi cab that’s parked on the stage. Show throws Reigns into the car again. Show puts Reigns on top of the car and climbs up there with him. Show grabs Reigns and chokeslams him on top of the taxi. Show stands tall as fans chant “you sold out” and we go to commercial.

– We come back and see replays of what just happened. Cole says Reigns refused medical attention during the break.

Randy Orton vs. Cesaro

We go to the ring and out comes Randy Orton to a pop. WWE Tag Team Champion Cesaro is out next with partner Tyson Kidd and Natalya.

They lock up and go at it, going to the corner. They eventually go back to the corner and Cesaro starts getting some offense with uppercuts. Orton fights out with uppercuts of his own. Cesaro with a shoulder tackle and a stomp to the chest. Tyson Kidd ends up getting involved for the disqualification.

Winner by DQ: Randy Orton

– Kane comes out and re-starts the match, making it a handicap match. We go to commercial.

Handicap Match: Randy Orton vs. Cesaro and Tyson Kidd

Back from the break and they’re going at it. Cesaro ends up on top of Orton with right hands after Kidd dropped Orton into a huge uppercut. Orton with a backbreaker but Cesaro tags in Kidd. Kidd jumps in and rolls Orton up for 2. Orton sends Kidd to the apron and brings him back in with the second rope draping DDT. Orton gets hype and drops to the mat. Cesaro pulls Kidd to safety as fans boo. Orton goes to the floor but they get the upperhand. Kidd brings Orton back in and springboards in with a big elbow drop for a 2 count. Orton comes back and hits a powerslam on Cesaro and then a huge RKO out of nowhere on Kidd for the win.

Winner: Randy Orton

– We see Kane, Seth Rollins, Joey Mercury and Jamie Noble watching Orton celebrate. Kane says if Rollins wins his match tonight, both Rollins and Orton can pick stipulations for their match. Rollins says he will not be facing Ziggler tonight, instead he will be facing Noble and Noble is going to lay down for him. Noble wonders why he has to lay down when all this is Kane’s fault. Kane has another idea that involves a car battery and Noble’s testicles. Rollins agrees with Noble, this is all Kane’s fault. Rollins wants Kane to lay down for him. Kane walks off. Rollins says Kane knows he has no choice and we go back to commercial.

Adam Rose vs. Dean Ambrose

Back from the break and Adam Rose is making his entrance with the Rosebuds. Dean Ambrose is out next to a pop.

The bell rings and they go at it. Rose slams Ambrose for an early 2 count. Rose drops forearms and a right hand. Rose with another forearm and a headlock as the Rosebuds dance at ringside. Ambrose fights back with strikes. He runs over Rose with forearms and splashes him. Ambrose with a running bulldog. Ambrose goes to the top but Rose rolls out to the floor. Ambrose runs the ropes and dives out onto him. Ambrose brings it back in but Rose kicks him. Ambrose hits the big slingshot clothesline and Dirty Deeds for the win.

Winner: Dean Ambrose

– Kane is backstage leaving a voicemail for Triple H to call him. Show says The Authority is the winning side and reminds Kane they made a commitment to Triple H and Stephanie McMahon. Show talks about what’s best for business and says Randy Orton as the next champion is not best for business. Show tells Kane to do what needs to be done. Kane says he’s facing Rollins tonight and he will do what’s best for business. Back to commercial.

Stardust vs. Fandango

Back from the break and Stardust is making his entrance as Fandango looks on. Rosa Mendes is at ringside. Stardust takes control early on. Fandango turns it around but misses the top rope leg drop. Stardust hits the Disaster Kick for the win.

Winner: Stardust

– After the match, Fandango takes the mic and says he finally figured out what the problem is. He goes and stands on top of the announce table. He says he’s been sharing his dance with Rosa and not the whole world. His old theme song hits and the crowd goes nuts as they hum along.

– WWE Intercontinental Champion Daniel Bryan walks in on Kane backstage. Bryan talks to him about laying down for Rollins tonight and says he’s disappointed in Kane. Kane screams at him to leave. Bryan says if Kane has any pride, he will be a man and not a stooge out there tonight. Bryan walks off and we go to commercial.

– Back from the break and we see what happened with Rusev and Cena earlier.

Seth Rollins vs. Kane

WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins is out with Mercury and Noble. Kane is out next but he’s not dressed to wrestle. Kane takes off his shirt and gets in Rollins’ face but eventually lays down for the pin. Kane kicks out at 2 and has second thoughts. He fights off The Stooges and readies for a chokeslam on Rollins but stops. Fans chant “yes” as Kane considers. Rollins yells at Kane some more. Kane goes to lay down again but Kane chokeslams him. Kane calls for a Tombstone but stops and lays down beside Rollins for the pin.

Winner: Seth Rollins

– After the bell, Kane immediately leaves the ring and walks to the back as Rollins laughs.

– We see Damien Sandow walking backstage as we go to commercial.

The Miz vs. Damien Sandow

Back from the break and out comes The Miz. Damien Sandow is out next and he’s got Summer Rae with him.

Miz stalls after the bell and takes his time removing his sunglasses as fans boo. Sandow takes his off to a big pop. Miz gets booed as he takes off his jacket. Sandow removes his and gets a pop but Miz attacks him with a cheap shot. Miz stomps away and kicks Sandow in the face. Miz with a big right hand and more strikes. Miz talks trash to Summer and turns around to the backbreaker neckbreaker from Sandow. Miz blocks a Skull Crushing Finale but comes back in to a roll up for the win.

Winner: Damien Sandow

– After the match, Sandow leaves with Summer and taunts The Miz, who is throwing a fit in the ring.

– We get a video from The Prime Time Players. This week they’re mocking Los Matadores and El Torito.

– Still to come, Rollins and Orton will pick their stipulations. Back to commercial.

Ryback vs. Luke Harper

Back from the break and out comes Ryback to a pop. Luke Harper is out next.

They lock up and go at it. Ryback takes Harper to the corner but gets slapped. Ryback slaps him back and they go at it some more. Ryback drops Harper but runs into a huge superkick for a 2 count. Harper keeps control and nails an uppercut. Harper takes Ryback down for the Gator Roll and keeps him down. Ryback fights up and catches Harper in a big powerbomb. Ryback readies for a Meathook but Harper goes to the floor. Harper takes the top of the announce table and decks Ryback with it for the disqualification.

Winner by DQ: Ryback

– Dean Ambrose’s music hits and out he comes. He meets Harper in the ring and unloads on him. Harper fights off Dirty Deeds and runs off through the crowd.

– We get a look back at Naomi attacking Paige earlier. Saxton is backstage with Naomi now as Paige is being checked on by trainers. Naomi acts like she’s sorry for what she did but starts laughing. Naomi brought up how she’s defeated Nikki Bella before and asks if wins & losses mean anything around here. Naomi brings up AJ Lee and implies she’s not a Legend like people are saying she is. Naomi says people have mistaken her kindness for a weakness for too long and from now on, she’s taking her opportunities without asking. She walks off.

Dolph Ziggler vs. Neville

We go to the ring and out comes Dolph Ziggler to a pop. We go to commercial after some WWE Trivia.

We come back and Ziggler is cutting a promo in the ring. His opponent Neville is out to a big pop. They lock up and trade holds. Neville with some nice spots as he keeps Ziggler grounded. Ziggler counters a move and hits a huge DDT for a 2 count. We go to commercial.

Back from the break and Neville ends up hitting a very nice moonsault to the floor. He walks the top of the barrier around ringside and hits a 450 splash on Ziggler and the floor for a huge pop. Neville brings it back in the ring for a 2 count. Ziggler ends up connecting with a big superkick for a close 2 count out of nowhere. Neville climbs up for Red Arrow but lands on his feet. Ziggler goes on and hits a Zig Zag for the win.

Winner: Dolph Ziggler

– After the match, Ziggler helps Neville up but turns around to a huge shot from Sheamus. Sheamus lays Neville out with a Brogue Kick. Sheamus poses as fans boo. He goes back to Ziggler and slaps him around while talking trash. Sheamus runs the ropes but Ziggler knocks him out of the ring. Ziggler unloads on Sheamus and leaps off the announce table onto him. Sheamus comes back and lays Ziggler out with a Brogue Kick on the floor. Sheamus takes apart the announce table and stands on top of it posing while his music hits. A referee is checking on Ziggler but Sheamus goes to stand over him and look down.

– We see what happened with Big Show and Roman Reigns earlier.

– Still to come, Rollins and Orton will pick their stipulations. Back to commercial.

– Back from the break and out comes WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins with J&J Security. Rollins takes a seat in a La-Z-Boy recliner in the middle of the ring. Rollins talks about what happened with Kane and calls Randy Orton to the ring so they can reveal their stipulations.

Orton just wants to fight and asks why Rollins has to complicate things. Rollins says he likes complications. Rollins announces his stipulation for Extreme Rules – the RKO is banned. Rollins reminds Orton that The Authority always wins. He laughs at Orton. Orton tells Rollins that was well-played because he was thinking along the same lines. Orton says Rollins’ greatest weapon in his arsenal is his connection to The Authority. Orton wonders if The Authority couldn’t get to Rollins and help him. Orton picks his stipulation – a Steel Cage Match. A big “yes” chant breaks out but Rollins isn’t happy. Rollins says that doesn’t scare him because he’s Seth Rollins, the WWE World Heavyweight Champion. Rollins says Orton is just his first victim without the RKO. Rollins says again he’s not scared. Orton says since the RKO is banned at Extreme Rules, he’s got to give people their money’s worth now. They start attacking but Orton fights them off and mounts Rollins with right hands. Mercury and Noble pull him off. Orton tosses them both to the floor and hits a powerslam on Rollins. Orton goes for the draping DDT on Rollins but Mercury makes the save and eats a RKO. Rollins retreats up the ramp with his title as Orton’s music hits. Orton hits the turnbuckles and stares at Rollins as he yells back from the stage. RAW goes off the air.
