WWE invaded Wilkes-Barre, PA at the Mohegan Sun Arena on Tuesday night for the Main Event and SmackDown TV tapings. Here are the spoilers for this week’s episode of SmackDown:
– WWE announced prior to the show that Paige vs. Sasha Banks, Ryback vs. Seth Rollins in a Lumberjack Match plus Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose and Jimmy Uso vs. The New Day will be taking place on the episode.
– The Wyatt Family opens the show with a promo about attacking Randy Orton on RAW. They also discussed their feud with Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose.
– Before the Sasha Banks – Paige match can take place, a brawl between Team PCB and Team B.A.D broke out. Team B.A.D retreated to the back after getting overwhelmed while brawling.
– Seth Rollins cuts a backstage promo about his upcoming championship defenses against Sting and John Cena at Night of Champions. Sheamus interrupted and threatened to cash in on Rollins soon.
– Six-man tag team match: Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose and Jimmy Uso vs. The New Day ends a no contest. The finish came when the babyfaces hit their finishers on Kofi Kingston, but then all of a sudden the lights when out. When the lights came back on, Uso was laid out on the stage by the Wyatt Family. Reigns and Ambrose ran up the rampway to the stage to help Uso, but before they could get up to the stage the lights when out and when the lights came back on, the Wyatts were gone. We hear The Wyatt’s voice is heard over the loudspeaker taunting them.
– Tag team match: The Ascension defeated The Lucha Dragons after Stardust distracted Kalisto and the tag team hit the Fall of Man for the win. Following the match, Stardust hit his finish on Kalisto to close the segment.
– Nikki Bella cuts a backstage promo about her upcoming match with Charlotte on RAW. Charlotte walked up to her and promised that she would end Nikki’s reign as champion.
– Lumberjack match: Seth Rollins defeated Ryback when the heel lumberjacks attacked Ryback that resulted in the face lumberjacks making the save. A huge brawl broke out in the ring with everyone clearing out except for Ryback and Rollins. This led to Rollins hitting the pedigree to Ryback for the win.
