On January 14, Bobby Lashley left Impact Wrestling, after requesting his release. Impact granted it, and Lashley joined EC3, Chris Adonis and Laurel Van Ness in exiting the company around the same time.
However, it seems that Lashley was originally under contract with Impact until May of this year. The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reported that the former Impact champion had quite a bit of money heading his way over the next few months.
The feeling on his leaving is that he’s expecting a move to WWE or New Japan, and thinks that he could use the next couple of months to work out a deal with either company. Over the next three months, Lashley will be in talks with multiple wrestling promotions, and he expects some good deals to be laid out in front of him.
