Major Update on WrestleMania 33 Plans, Who is Undertaker Facing Off Against?

According to a report from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, only three matches have been locked in for Wrestlemania 33 in Orlando, and those three are Big Show vs. Shaq, Triple H vs. Seth Rollins, and Goldberg vs. Brock Lesnar.

Undertaker vs. John Cena has been discussed as well, and a match-up between the two was hinted at during this past week’s SmackDown, however, Vince McMahon has not made a final decision. While a match with Cena is being discussed a match-up with WWE United States Champion Roman Reigns is also being looked at. The Reigns match-up is being more heavily favored by WWE Officials, as they see Reigns as the future of the company and see a match with Cena not giving much of a payoff down the road.

If Cena is able to defeat AJ Styles for the WWE Title, or Cena is able to capture the Universal Title from Owens, either man could be looking at a championship headliner match against The Deadman in Orlando, as it is expected to be his last Wrestlemania. Taker has yet to be confirmed for the Royal Rumble match in his home-state of Texas in San Antonio, but he would be favored to win the Battle Royal given the two above scenarios.

Another favorite to win the Rumble is Braun Strowman. A win for Reigns over Owens at the Royal Rumble could lead to a possible Reigns vs. Strowman match at Mania, with Owens vs. Jericho taking place as well.

And last, but certainly not least, a multi-person match for the RAW Women’s Title is also being discussed.
