While Matt Hardy hasn’t officially announced his retirement, it’s pretty clear that he is in the process of making the transition into a backstage role.
Though he is still wrestling occasionally and his latest appearance as the Woken Matt Hardy came this past weekend during a WWE Live Event from Biloxi.
After the event, Matt made the following tweet thanking the city and saying that ‘tonight was the last appearance there of the ‘Woken’ Matt Hardy’:

Whether this is an indication of the retirement of the Broken character or Hardy himself is unknown but the later looks more likely, and it looks like Matt is considering this to be his retirement tour.
As noted before, Matt Hardy is set to begin an extensive rehab program soon and more details about his in ring future will be available after that.
