Matt Hardy responds to Jeff Hardy DWI, WWE issues statement

Jeff Hardy

Over the weekend, Jeff Hardy was arrested for driving while impaired. The Charismatic Enigma blew a .25 on his breathalyzer test, which is three times the legal limit. Hardy also totaled his 2016 Cadillac CTS-V, and damages are estimated at around $8,000.

In the official report, Officer Kelemecz stated:

Driver of Vehicle #1 ran off the roadway to the right, in turn striking about 105 feet of guardrail before the back end of the car spun around 90 degrees to the left, coming to rest in the middle of the right N lane of travel. The driver was arrested and charged with DWI.

In response to Hardy’s arrest, WWE issued the following statement, mirroring the statement given for Jey Uso back in January.

Jeff Hardy is responsible for his own personal actions. We are investigating the matter and awaiting information from local law enforcement officials.

Jeff has yet to comment on his arrest, but his brother Matt Hardy took the opportunity to reference it in a tweet on Sunday.

Hardy has been preparing for his in-ring return and it was assumed that he would make his return as “Brother Nero” during the “Ultimate Deletion.”

Iiberal, as in just speak your damned mind. Nothing to do with b.s. politics.

  • Armitage Soulshroude

I have no moral obligation to life in it’s emotions for whiney turds.

  • CC

Why do Americans always put things down to politics? I am neither liberal or whatever your other ridiculous party is called. What I am is a realist and someone who has been affected by morons drink driving. Wait til someone you love or care about is killed or injured by morons drink driving or driving under the influence of drugs, and see how you feel then about live and let live.

  • Armitage Soulshroude

So, be a liberal… Roast his *ss and be done with it. Cry me a river…

  • CC

Live and let live? Tell that to people affected by drunk drivers killing their loved ones.
Being drunk and disorderly is one thing, but anyone who drink drives deserves to get roasted.

    The Alcoholic Enigma strikes again.

    BAC .25-.30
Drinkers display general inertia, near total loss of motor
functions, little response to stimuli, inability to stand or walk,
vomiting, and incontinence. Drinkers may lose consciousness or fall into
    a stupor.

    It’s only a flesh wound.

  • Soulshroude

NO reason to be upset. Bro Nero will return. Jeff has a huge past full of this type of active behavior. Live and let live. At least it isn’t drugs this time around.

  • Darrin Tyler

I’m upset about it, I thought he was clean, and I thought they planned on bringing him back on tv soon. But I guess they won’t be now. And it may ruin the chance for him to come back as Brother Nero….I also heard he hurt his shoulder during the crash

I know the WWE won’t say it but they can’t be happy about this because they been down this road before.
