Matt Hardy talks about possible singles run in WWE

Matt Hardy recently weighed in on potentially going on a singles-run in WWE once again. In a recent interview with Josh Lawless, the RAW tag-team champion spoke about his return to WWE and how he and his brother Jeff would perform as singles competitors in the promotion.

The Hardys returned to WWE last month, winning the RAW tag-team championships at Wrestlemania 33. They defended their belts against Sheamus & Cesaro at the Payback PPV and despite Matt and Jeff previously having performed in singles competition in WWE, as of now they show no signs of splitting-up.

Nevertheless, Matt isn’t ruling out the possibility of a potential split in the near future. Here’s what he had to say regarding the same-

“I think down the road there will be a potential for both of us doing our own things; we’re both strong singles personalities in many ways, and I think as performers we’ve grown as we’ve got older; we’ve got smarter.”

Matt and Jeff Hardy are presently involved in a feud with Sheamus & Cesaro against whom they’ll defend their WWE RAW tag-team belts at the RAW brand-exclusive PPV Extreme Rules come June 4th.

Both Matt and Jeff have proved their mettle as singles competitors not only in WWE, but also in several other notable professional wrestling promotions. Now as far as the elephant in the room goes, the Hardys haven’t fully showcased their Broken personas in the WWE as of yet owing to their ongoing legal battle with former employers Impact Wrestling. Nevertheless, if both brothers were to go their separate ways on the WWE roster, it goes without saying that their Broken selves would add that much needed- forgive me for sounding cheesy- X-Factor to their characters.

Be it Broken Matt vs Bray Wyatt or Brother Nero vs John Cena, the possibilities are endless.
