– A backstage sourced within WWE has said it was “beyond obvious” that Vince McMahon was hoping the Payback match between AJ Lee and Kaitlyn would outshine TNA’s Slammiversary’s Gail Kim vs. Taryn Terrell match.

— Following her debut on NXT, Ric Flair posted the following on Twitter…

If Vince wanted that, he might’ve wanted to have two actual wrestlers in there then, and not the god awful Kaitlyn as his champion.

Sorry vince, but didn’t work. It was better because Taryn went over Gail, and AJ went over Kaitlyn, so in that sense, Vince did do better.

As for “pure match quality”? Vince has done to TNA what TNA has done to WWE. While TNA has hired many WWE castaways and given them belts, WWE has hired many TNA Knockouts and made them job to models.

Maybe the Divas should have their own show so they can build up storylines for Raw and SmackDown better?

  • Nick McGinniskin

This is exactly why competition between two companies is a great thing for the wrestling industry.

You don’t just suddenly have a high quality Diva’s match out of the blue. That’s a ridiculous notion, especially when you’ve let your most experienced and talented performers leave. Actually let the Divas get some real matches under their belts on a consistent basis and you can build up to having a quality Diva’s division again.

You can’t compare the work of girls used to doing two minute throw-away matches to girls who are used to competing in legitimate matches on a regular basis. It just is not a fair expectation.

Eh it was actually a good match but Taryn and Gail was far superior

well for that to happen give them more then 2 mins to do a match
