Mia Yim signs deal with WWE

It’s being reported that Mia Yim to WWE is now official – she signed a deal and started officially with the company on 16 September.

Yim, real name Stephanie Bell, first appeared on the wrestling scene as a valet in Ring of Honor in 2011 where she worked closely with current WWE Producer Sarah Amato. She also served as Adam Cole’s manager in CZW, who incidentally works at the WWE Performance Center. In 2015, she also worked for TNA under the name ‘Jade’ in the Dollhouse stable where she feuded with Gail Kim. She also had singles programmes with the likes of Madison Rayne and Maria Kanellis.

The Blasian Baddie has also had a number of appearances as an enhancement talent in NXT before she was named as part of the first-ever Mae Young Classic last year. The first round featured a victory for her over current Raw star Sarah Logan before she was eliminated by eventual finalist Shayna Baszler in the second round. She is part of the current version also and is into round two again after beating Allysin Kay.

They will. She will open with great fanfare and flip and flap and flutter of wings. Then after 12 to 16 weeks she will fade and disappear. This is Asuka redeaux.

I’m so happy for her. She never saw herself in WWE because she wanted to be taken seriously as a woman’s wrestler. But things have changed. I hope they don’t screw this up.
