Michelle Beadle Discusses CM Punk/AJ Lee Incident, Says She’s No Longer Friends with Punk

As we reported, Michelle Beadle was a guest on Jim Ross’ podcast this week, and one of the topics up for discussion was her well-publicized run in with former WWE Diva’s Champion AJ Lee at Tribute to the Troops last year. To recap, Lee reportedly lost it with Beadle after believing she heard her say something disrespectful to boyfriend, CM Punk.

Beadle says on the podcast that she thought her and Punk were friends, but was apparently wrong. On the incident, Beadle says she saw Punk backstage and said “What up F–k face?,” intending for it to come across in a humorous way as they were friends. She says Punk was alone at the time and she was with WWE’s PR people, before Lee confronted her yelling in her face. Beadle recalls thinking the whole thing was a rib but realized it wasn’t when Punk kept his back to her when she looked over to him. She says her and Punk stopped being friends that day and notes WWE officials apologized to her.

She said:

“Phil was one of those cool guys that didn’t fall into a certain role and kind of did what he wanted but to watch all of that happen and have someone tattle on me and have their girlfriend get in my face is a little pathetic. It’s okay, I’ve moved on.”

Beadle said she wasn’t surprised when Punk left WWE but is surprised he hasn’t returned yet. She said she misses his TV character and had expected him to return at WrestleMania.
