WWE was TV 14 back then and there were no limits. Anything could happen that would make things so much more interesting. I never wanted Raw or Smackdown to end back in the old days. The PG Era that we have now has so much restrictions. AW got fired for making that Kobe rape joke whereas in 2003 Big Show and John Cena used it in a segment on Smackdown and they were unpunished. There used to be so much awesome moments in TV-14 but there are hardly any in the PG era. The fact that the ratings are so low shows that many people stopped watching WWE when they turned PG. A Raw Pg episode would only get a tv rating between 2.0-3.5. When wwe was Tv-14 the ratings would barely fall behind 4.0 and it would as high as 8.0. The Edge-Lita sex celebration drew a 5.2 rating. People want boobs, more violence and swearing because it makes the product more interesting and better. The ratings speak for themselves. Wwe Tv-14 is better than WWE TV Pg. In what way do you think WWE TV PG is better than WWE TV 14?

thankyou Kris. been saying this for ages. the decline of wrestling has nothing to do with it being PG rated, just poor uninspired writing. The CM Punk pipe bomb angle proved that with a bit of creativity you CAN make wrestling interesting again without resorting to upping the age rating. Austin, Rock, Foley etc could have all been just as big had they been PG-13 because they had a bit of creative freedom themselves, and the writers were so much better back then. They would have still been able to push the rating to its limit without stepping over it.

You don’t need it to be PG-13 to have why the attitude era had, you just need storylines and the people who had the drive and love for the business of that era. People said there would never be another HH and look what Cena Became and now you have Daniel Bryan being the next HBK (with people complaining about his size and saying he can’t be a top guy). The attitude era had heart and was more about the whole show and not just the wwe title, you say you grew up in the attitude era yet it seems you know nothing. Back then you had; Austin, Rock, HHH, New Age Outlaws, Mankind, even Ken Shamrock, who thrived to make a name for themselves and had a true love for the business, other than Cena, DB, Ziggler and just a couple others there’s nobody like that in this Era. We don’t need Boobs, bad language and heavy violence to regain that love for this show, we need people that actually want more than just being there.

I’m sorry but I grew up in the greatest era of all time: The Attitude Era. I dont see how anyone can be the next Foley, Rock or Austin in this PG era. There are limits in this PG era but there were no limits in the Attitude Era.

Nobody can be the next Mick Foley, The Rock or Stone Cold because of this TV-PG thing.
