WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley is a big fan of the current storyline between AJ Styles and Roman Reigns. Following the main event of Monday’s episode of RAW (Styles, Karl Anderson, and Doc Gallows vs. The Usos and Reigns), Foley took to his Facebook page to comment on the feud. Here is what he wrote:
SO MUCH POTENTIAL
I only caught the last 10 minutes of #RAW last night – but for me, those 10 minutes were all I needed to detect a world of potential in this Styles/Reigns feud. Obviously, it’s all about the follow-through, but this angle could be a corner-turner for everyone involved – Reigns, Styles, The Usos, Gallows and Anderson. Just my quick observation here on all four involved parties.
1) Anderson & Gallows showed they absolutely belonged in #WWE.
2) The Usos won’t be stale if they are not used in a stale manner. Might be time for a little image overhaul – but Jimmy and Jay can still go!
3) Roman Reigns finally gave casual fans a reason to boo him. Reigns has long been one of the most believable ass-kickers in the business, but those last few minutes of Raw finally allowed him to turn that intensity on someone the #WWEUniverse can instantly get behind.
4) AJ Styles has the opportunity to cut the promo of his career with this feud. If this man who has done just about everything there is to do inside a ring, can find a way to project anger on a microphone, his star will rise to a level that very few have ever reached.
Styles vs. Reigns for the WWE Title in an Extreme Rules Match will headline the WWE Extreme Rules PPV.
