Mick Foley Says He Was Disgusted by Tonight’s WWE Royal Rumble Pay-Per-View

– Fans in Pittsburgh weren’t the only ones upset with tonight’s WWE Royal Rumble 30-man main event. Mick Foley tweeted the following during tonight’s show:

“Yep, I said on if @WWEDanielBryan didn’t win #RoyalRumble I would throw a brick through my TV. Who is YOUR pick?”

“The bar for #MatchOfTheYear 2014 has just been set mighty high by @WWEDanielBryan & @WWEBrayWyatt. An instant classic! #RoyalRumble”

“Serious heat in the Foley house over Dad’s decision to throw a brick through the TV if @WWEDanielBryan doesn’t win #RoyalRumble #KeepMyWord”

“Wait…@WWEDanielBryan isn’t even IN the #RoyalRumble? That just kind of sucks.”

“Does @WWE actually hate their own audience? I’ve never been so disgusted with a PPV.”

You realize that was because Cena was legitimately injured… and they are still trying to make Cena a loveable baby-face for all… so it was their attempt to get the hardcore fans that loved Bryan to chant for Cena for “helping out” Bryan.
You need to stop reading what you see on TV. It’s all a script.
If he generally wanted to help people… he wouldnt of come back and taken a title off Del Rio.
Was inexcusable and un-needed. Del-Rio v Orton for the Unification could of worked just as well. But no… Cena hogs the spotlight yet again.

Funny how Cena actually did that. Cena did not need to compete at Summerslam, but did anyway and he let Bryan win. I was under the impression that Cena would beat Bryan, Orton would attack Cena, win the belt and take him out, till Cena returned to set up the unification match, but instead Cena told Vince he wanted Bryan to beat him clean, which he did, to help propel Bryan to be even more over.

Yes E got the title…. Not bc he deserved but bc he’s Cenas friend! Helping somebody by just mentioning their name is not help. Cena or Austin Or The Rock saying, “no, I don’t want the title, give it to Daniel Bryan or whoever.” THATS HELPING and THATS SHOWING RESPECT. Not giving your non deserving friend a title.

  • JohnCena33

Wow, there have been countless actions by other stars to help there fellow wrestlers, guess you just dont know that much about wrestling history. A recent example is when Cena told Vince and company to push Big E, guess what happened? They pushed him! And he got the IC title.

I have to agree with you on this. They are purposefully pissing off the IWC and getting more and more people on DB’s side. Then, when they do finally put him in the title hunt again, they can toy with everyone again until he final wins it. They found a way to generate a stronger following for him and now they are running with it. Everyone wants him to be champion but once he is, the thrill behind rooting for him will be gone. Might as well play it our for as long as they can.

After the Bryan/Wyatt match, I understand why Bryan wasn’t in the Rumble. The only 2 guys who were in the Rumble that had an earlier match were the Rhodes brothers. Honestly, it kind of bothers me that when guys wrestle twice in one night at the Rumble, so I wasn’t expecting Bryan to be in it.

It was obvious that Batista was going to win, but you could tell it wasn’t the popular vote. If WWE puts Bryan vs. Sheamus at Wrestlemania, the crowd is going to be even more pissed off than they were last night.

wwe is getting badder by each pay per view if wwe does not do something with Daniel bryan wwe is going to lose views more like tna

  • Omar

    It smells like a work.

  • Kristopher Robinson

Because not a single superstar that has even been bigger than Cena would do that or has ever done that.

  • Loose Cannon

The wwe geniuses make who they want to make famous, the last tens of john cena down our throats wasn’t really the fans doing it was vince’s decision, every title match & every main event that wasn’t a title match in every ppv, you want to talk about being overrated & over shadows any chances of new stars to be made & succeed as long as john cena or “friends” of Triple H is given the opportunity that a real talent like Daniel Brian should be getting, open your ears it’s clear & simple, the royal rumble was the stage for Daniel Brian but again time after time is blown over wrestlers that have already gad the spotlight that it makes me feel a shamed to be a fan. That’s only going downhill from here & has been sinking for a lot time! I could write a series upon what’s wrong with professional wrestling. A billion dollar company made famous by Vince McMahon, the fans made your billion dollar company famous!

Why cant Cena come to the plate for Bryan. He has some backstage power, he got Big E his push why cant he do the same for Bryan.

  • mikhailhoti

So did he keep his word and throw a brick?………

  • D2K

    As we all did….

  • WWE doesn’t hate their audience. They just don’t care, and there are enough people that will robotically tune into Raw and order the WWE Network regardless of how crappy their product is, so they will never improve. Which is sad, because I used to LOVE WWF wrestling.
