Mick Foley Says Daniel Bryan Should Reject WWE’s Horrible Booking Ideas

– Mick Foley tweeted the following during last night’s RAW about the Kane vs. Daniel Bryan storyline:

“I hope @WWE treads VERY carefully with this @WWEDanielBryan situation.Feels eerily similar to the story that derailed @ZackRyder’s career.”

He wrote more on Facebook later on:

“Whether Daniel Bryan – WWE Universe knows it or not, NOW is the time that the fiercest fighting takes place for a WWE champion – and it has nothing to do with the action in the ring. Now is the time to step up and shoot down horrible ideas that can derail even the most promising of ideas. I used to joke that Daniel was the exception to the rule that every top guy in WWE has been percieved at one time or another as a pain in the neck – largely for their willingness to step up and call the creative team out on bad ideas when they see them. That thing I saw tonight – that thing with Daniel and Brie Bella – WWE Universe and the car? That was a bad idea – one that never should have seen the light of day.

I have said on several occasions that I used up my ammo when it came to complaining about WWE storylines when I went to bat for the #YesMovement in the aftermath of the Royal Rumble. I’m going to do my very best to do just that. But I’ll first ask everyone involved – Daniel, Brie, Hunter, Steph, Vince, etc., to take a good look at the nearly identical storyline that ran Zack Ryder’s promising career off the rails…and do everything they can to avoid that same horrible stretch of track.”

Mick Foley needs to go away because he going to start turning people off from all his crying lately. Never thought Mic would become such a whiner. WWE knows what they are doing when it comes to Bryan while Foley was crying how Bryan was not in the Rumble. WWE had plan all along for him walking out of Wrestlmania WWE/World Champion. Foley I love and respect the heck out of you. But I think you really are losing you touch for the wrestling business.

I’m with Foley on this one. Same old storyline of the Monster Kane, only this time he’s the Demon Kane. Just that now Bryan and Brie are his prey. Been there, done that. *YAWN*

I saw nothing wrong with last nights angle. And the big thing Foley is ignoring is that the Ryder angle was pretty much just about getting Cena over (as always) and helping Eve turn heel. The whole Kane breaking Ryders back was pretty much secondary, and just the catalyst for the Cena/Eve angle.

I agree. He thinks he has the best opinions about everything. Let Bryan be Bryan.

  • Seth Becker

He was a wrestling fan before he was a, with all due respect to JBL, wrestling god. There are few people who have enough insight in and out of the business to make that kind of call.

Foley outranks even the Dalai Lama.
    Foley is God.
