There were high hopes for both Mike and Maria Kanellis and the ‘power of live’ gimmick when they joined WWE, especially for SmackDown Live. Things however have not worked out that way – since Maria’s pregnancy, her husband Mike Kanellis has faded into the background until a most recent three-second showing, and elimination, at the Greatest Royal Rumble show in Saudia Arabia last Friday.
It’s fair to say a portion of fans feel Mike Kanellis isn’t being showcased properly by WWE and have taken to social media to voice their disapproval. In response to the critics however, it is the man himself who has tried to offer some perspective on his situation:
Millions of guys and girls would love to work for WWE. Hundreds of guys and girls that work for WWE would love to be on the main roster. I work for WWE, on the main roster, on the RAW Brand. But WWE is doing me wrong? Give me a break. 🙄 #perspective
