Mike Kanellis has had a pretty underwhelming year in the WWE. We’re coming up on his one-year anniversary with the company, and he’s yet to do anything worthwhile.
Kanellis did make his way to the WWE at a time where the roster is completely stacked. With a mid-card that, at the time, featured Sami Zayn, Kevin Owens, AJ Styles and Randy Orton, there wasn’t much for him to do. Debuting at Money in the Bank last year, he and his wife Maria Kanellis wanted to spread a message of love throughout the WWE Universe, and his first feud would involve Sami Zayn.
However, after that, Kanellis was rarely seen. It’s been some time since the last time he’s been on TV, getting thrown over the ropes very quickly at the Greatest Royal Rumble, and it seems that he’s getting hungry for some kind of opportunity.

A fan asked Mike Kanellis if he would consider making his way to NXT, debating that he could have great feuds with talents like EC3 and Aleister Black. Kanellis responded, saying that he’d be happy as long as he gets to wrestle.
Could NXT be the answer to Mike Kanellis’ problem? It wouldn’t be the first time that the yellow brand revitalized a career, and this could be just the thing to catch the eyes of the fans yet again.
