Million Dollar Belt Value, Dory Funk Jr. Interviews Henry, Flair Note

– Dory Funk Jr. spoke with Mark Henry about his comeback, training days at the Funking Dojo and the Hall of Fame.

– WWE published an article about the history of the Million Dollar Belt created by “The Million Dollar Man” Ted Dibiase. Dibiase admitted that he made more money with the belt than he would have made as WWE Champion. Dibiase also revealed that the belt was valued at $40,000 when it was created in 1988. Whereabouts of the belt are currently unknown according to the article.

– As noted earlier, Ric Flair appeared on last night’s episode of Lizard Lick Towing on TruTV. You can watch the show (episode 304) at this link.

More than likely a replica as WWF/E actually owned the belt then and still owns the belt now.

“The value of the title when it was created was $40,000,” DiBiase revealed. “That was in 1988. Today, it’s worth even more. It was gold plate, which is not much, but all of the stones are cubic zirconia, which means they’re almost diamonds. And there’s like 700 of them in the title.”

Wow I’m a reporter too and I spell checked lol

I met him at Wizard World a few years ago and he had it with him. Might have been a replica or they let him keep his own copy while the original prototype is still in a vault someplace.
