MMA Fighter “Dirty” Tom Lawlor Channels The Shockmaster At UFC 154 Weigh-In

UFC middleweight fighter “Filthy” Tom Lawlor payed homage to The Shockmaster, an infamous WCW character, at Friday’s UFC 154 weigh-ins.

At WCW Clash of the Champions XXIV in September 1993, Sting, Dustin Rhodes and The British Bulldog were scheduled to square off against Sid Vicious, Vader and Harlem Heat when they revealed a mystery partner on Ric Flair’s talk show, “A Flair for the Gold.” When introducing their teammate, Sting exclaimed, “He will SHOCK you!” As pyrotechnic explosions went off, The Shockmaster came barreling through a wall, tripped over an errant two-by-four and fell flat on his face, losing his trademark glitter-encrusted Stormtrooper helmet on the way.

Lawlor, an admitted wrestling fanatic who has posted on message boards, conducts his version of this infamous incident in the following video.

I watched this live and was wondering why is Joe Rogan saying Tom Lawlor plans to shock the world? Then when he “tripped” and the mask came off I lost it. My wife had no idea what was so funny, so I explained it after I was done crying because I was laughing so hard.
