While the WWE Universe is still buzzing about UFC Star Ronda Rousey’s debut at Royal Rumble, her arrival hasn’t sat well with the female locker room.
Both Nikki Bella and Nia Jax had commented negatively about her overshadowing Asuka’s victory in the Women’s Rumble shortly after the event and as we noted before, Sasha Banks’ comment about her debut only showed the frustration of the Women’s Division.
During a recent interview with The Trend with Rebecca Granet, Natalya was asked about the debut of the UFC Star and the SmackDown Star said that we all have different opinions about getting into WWE:
“We all do have different ways we could go about getting to WWE, Not everybody was born into a wrestling dynasty. Lana’s journey is different, Ronda’s journey is going to be different and I think it’s situational.”
Continuing on the topic, the former Champion said that Ronda does have to prove herself but she also recognized how her arrival will bring more attention to the Women’s division of WWE:
“With Ronda, yes, she absolutely does has to prove herself, but I know Ronda personally, I’m friends with her. Ronda has expressed that she more than anything wants to prove herself and she really wants to bring even more attention to the women of WWE, and I think it’s going to be incredible for all of us.”
