According to a report from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE Cruiserweight Champion Nevile was originally scheduled to defeat Austin Aries at WWE Payback, however, they decided to have Aries win via disqualification instead. There is no word as to why the change was made, however, it makes sense for the pair’s rivalry going forward that Neville didn’t defeat Aries twice consecutively.

A stipulation match between the pair is expected to go down at Extreme Rules on June 4th, and things could get interesting with TJP’s (TJ Perkins) involvement in the feud as of late. The WWE could be setting up a Triple Threat Match between the three.
