There are rumors that the main event segment from this past Monday’s RAW involving Charlotte and Paige was almost dropped.
What we do know is that Charlotte received her script some time after she recorded her interview for ESPN on Monday afternoon. The promo from Charlotte was supposed to get fans to feel sorry for her going into Survivor Series. Thus the reason she mentioned her late brother, Reid Flair, in the promo.
WWE’s idea was that they needed to do something big because the women were being given the main event segment on the show.

“Subject matter this personal is only approved as a result of the strong advocacy of the talent themselves. Notwithstanding that, WWE is ultimately responsible for what airs in its programming.”
