News On When WWE Decided To Have Sheamus Win The WWE Championship, Cesaro Injury Update

– Sheamus cashed in his Money in the Bank contract and beat Roman Reigns with two Brogue Kicks to become the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion at Sunday night’s Survivor Series pay-per-view. Dave Meltzer mentioned on the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio that WWE was going back and forth on the decision on Sunday.

The decision to have Sheamus cash-in was done just hours before the show started.

– In an update on Cesaro possibly having a shoulder injury, he injured his shoulder on last Monday’s episode of RAW during his match with Roman Reigns. He did work Tuesday’s WWE SmackDown TV tapings in a match against The Miz, but it was very short.

WWE had planned for him to be in the pre-show traditional 5-on-5 Survivor Series tag team match but was pulled from the match due to the injury and replaced with Titus O’Neil. It’s still unknown if he will have to undergo surgery.
