News on Tonight’s Live WWE SmackDown, Big Show Talks Retiring, Birthdays

– WWE Hall of Famer Jerry Lawler turns 62 years old today while JBL turns 45 and Dutch Mantel turns 62.

– Big Show chatted with fans on TheState.com yesterday to promote last night’s RAW Supershow. When asked about retiring, Big Show said:

“I may be 40 in February but I don’t feel 40! I’ll be doing this as long as I feel I can compete and I feel great now.”

– WWE SmackDown will air live tonight on SyFy at 8pm EST from Charlotte, North Carolina with a Holidays theme. Confirmed for tonight’s show is Daniel Bryan vs. Mark Henry for the World Heavyweight Title in a steel cage and an appearance by Mick Foley. Big Show is the only RAW Superstar advertised for tonight as the rest of the RAW brand is headed to Japan. Advertised locally is a match with Randy Orton taking on the winner of Bryan-Henry with Booker T as the referee.

WWE will also tape Week 39 of NXT: Redemption tonight.
