– Here are some notes of interest from the Legends event at WrestleReunion today in Miami:

* Referee Mickey Jay worked the event, his first time officiating since being diagnosed with cancer.

* Rick Steiner and Kevin Sullivan with JJ Dillon The New Age Outlaws. Steiner and Sullivan were in the Varsity Club gear.

* Finlay was interviewed until David Hart Smith attacked him. This led to a match that Finlay won.

* Vader won a squash match over Steve Stasiak and Rick Fury.

* Tito Santana defeated The Honky Tonk Man.

* The main event was billed as a tribute to Championship Wrestling from Florida. The match was Mike Graham, Brian Blair, Lanny Poffo & Carlos Colon vs. Ron Bass, Masked Superstar, Larry Zbyszko and Gary Royal with Nikita Koloff as the special referee. Blair and Graham won the match.

Would have loved to have been there. I always thought the “Varsity Club” of Steiner and Rotundo then later Rotundo and Steve Williams was a great gimmick. The evil Sullivan did’nt fit well with them though.
