Nick’s Quick Wits-Perspective

This time, I’m going to do something a little bit different. I’m going to offer wrestling fans out there a little perspective. Based on reactions I have seen recently about the current product, I feel this is appropriate.

I guess you could say that I’m a member of the IWC, the “Internet Wresting Community” as it’s called. This is a term usually referred to fans whom take to the internet to talk about their thoughts of professional wrestling. It seems to me every week there are much more negative than positive comments in the IWC. I hear it all, “this guy needs pushed” “why is this person getting the push” “that person was buried” all the time. While those are opinions, which is fine, everyone is entitled to have them. I one I want to offer perspective on is, “That’s it, I’m never watching again.”

When I read a comment like that, I know that it’s most likely a knee jerk reaction because the fan was so upset about something that happened on Raw or a Pay-Per-View. It’s usually ignored because it’s assumed that said fan will still watch the next week. If you’re really a fan, you won’t stop watching just because the product it’s as exciting as it was at other times, or things aren’t going the way you want them to. You wouldn’t stop watching your favorite sports team if they had a bad year? Would you? The answer that is probably not. If you’re a true fan, you watch no matter what. When your team has a bad year, you still cheer them one, and when WWE is having a down period, you watch it as well. You get anger when your team loses, but you watch the next game, and you hate to see your favorite wrestler lose, but you watch the next week to see them win. It’s a perspective of life in general. You may hate how some things are going, but no matter what, if you’re a truly dedicated fan, you’ll show support no matter what.

Until next time, put a little perspective in it
