– The dark match before last night’s WWE tapings in Tucson, Arizona saw Johnny Curtis defeat former WWE developmental talent Derek Niekirk. Niekirk was suspended and then released from his WWE deal back in January of 2008 after a Wellness violation.
– Matches taped last night for the July 8th WWE Superstars were Alicia Fox vs. Natalya and Wade Barrett vs. local wrestler Don Gonzales.
