On NBC’s Today Show, The Bella Twins made an appearance to promote the newest season of Total Bellas, which premieres this Sunday. The Bellas sat down with Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb when Nikki Bella was asked about her former fiance John Cena.
When asked what she thought about him revealing that he still wanted to be with her, Nikki said:
I was shocked. I was literally in the middle of the red carpet for the NBC Universal Upfronts and got the news.
You guys know this. John is absolutely an amazing man. He’s such a sweetheart, and I truly love him so much. He’s my best friend. But I think…you know, a lot of us that go through the wedding planning process, we kind of have to face these issues that we have hiding deep down inside.
And…I just know that a healthy me will be a healthy us. I do have hope for our future but I know right now I need to work on me…and before I do say those vows and walk down that aisle, I just don’t want to be hesitant, I don’t want to be regretful.
After playing the clip of Cena professing his love for Cena and wanting to have her children, Brie said that she loves both of them.
For me, I love both of them, and I applaud them for putting their relationship out there. Because, it’s pretty hard when you’re filming a reality show. The good, the bad, the ugly, it’s all going on our show.
Cold feet really exist. Nikki’s my sister, I have her back. John is my brother. We text all the time. He actually was my first Mother’s Day text.
When asked if they’ll get back together, Nikki said “I definitely have hope. I really do.”
Total Bellas Season 3 airs this Sunday at 9 pm ET.
