NJPW Best of the Super Juniors Line-Up; Rey Mysterio to wrestle at Dominion

NJPW’s Best of the Super Juniors is, debatably, the company’s most anticipated tournament of the year. Since 1998, NJPW has hosted the BOSJ tournament which has been won by world-class athletes like Kota Ibushi, Finn Balor, Will Ospreay, and Jushin Thunder Liger (three times) just to name a few.

Below are the blocks for this year’s BOSJ:

Block A-

  • ACH
  • Bushi
  • Flip Gordon
  • Taiji Ishimori
  • Yoshinobu Kanemaru
  • Tiger Mask IV
  • Will Ospreay
  • Yoh

Block B-

  • El Desperado
  • Kushida
  • Dragon Lee
  • Chris Sabin
  • Marty Scurll
  • Sho
  • Ryusuke Taguchi
  • Hiromu Takahashi

The winner of the tournament will take on the IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Champion at this year’s Dominion PPV. Currently, Will Ospreay holds the title, leading fans to speculate that, should he win the tournament, he’ll call out an opponent for the event. Who could it be? Possibly, Rey Mysterio Jr.

The Ultimate Underdog made his WWE return at this year’s Greatest Royal Rumble event. However, prior to that, Mysterio addressed the crowd at NJPW’s Strong Style Evolved, stating that he planned on taking on Jushin Thunder Liger. That same night, Liger was defeated by Ospreay, and the champion called out Mysterio for a fight in the future.

Mysterio is currently slated to appear at Dominion to wrestle an unknown opponent, so it’s possible we could finally see that matchup there.
