RING OF HONOR is set to return to the Lone Star State! And this time, we are coming to San Antonio for 2 full nights of the best professional wrestling on the planet when ROH presents ALL STAR EXTRAVAGANZA II WEEKEND on Friday, September 18th and Saturday, September 19th! ALL STAR EXTRVAGANZA is an event renowned for world-class talent and incredible championship challenges. This year, all the fallout from ASE VII will spill over into a gigantic ROH TV taping on Saturday night!
Adam Page (with the constant encouragement of currently out-of-action BJ Whitmer) has a big problem with his career in ROH . He believes he’s been denied the opportunity to rise through the ranks; that he’s being held back and kept down. And he believes he DESERVES main event level matches!
Rather than prove his point with honor through competition and victories, Page singled out former ROH World Champion Jay Briscoe to air his considerable grievances. But on when Adam Page finally got the match he claimed he wanted against Briscoe, The Decade showed their true motivations once again. Rather than a one-on-one contest, the match (which you can watch on the latest episode of ROH TV!) almost immediately devolved into a 3 against 1 assault against the former champion, with Page eventually nailing him with a steel chair and taking a DQ loss. Wins and losses are clearly not the objective here as Adam Page then gave Briscoe a Rite of Passage ONTO another chair! Page was determined to make sure Jay Briscoe “remembers his name” once and for all.
Incensed, Jay Briscoe took to social media to demand another match against Adam Page. He wanted the opportunity for revenge after all that went down on TV. Nigel McGuinness agreed, and he has now signed a rematch for September 19th in San Antonio! But there’s one extra twist to this match…
