No Women’s Championship match at Money In The Bank?

According to reports from Wrestling Observer, last week there were plans for two women’s matches to be featured at the upcoming SmackDown Live exclusive PPV Money In The Bank.

But with the latest announcement of the first ever Women’s Money In The Bank Ladder match, it appears that there won’t be any other Women’s division match as there is nobody left to face Naomi on the roster.

It further means there won’t be any Women’s Championship match at the PPV as the champion Naomi will have to sit out and watch the other women of the roster fight for the briefcase.

It’s worth noticing that Lana was the only active female SmackDown Live superstar who wasn’t officially announced for the upcoming match but she recently made a tweet indicating that she could be added to the upcoming bout as well.

Though this is not necessarily a bad thing as people are excited for the first ever Women’s Money In The Bank match and it doesn’t appear that they’ll feel the absence of the Women’s title match on the card.
