— As announced this afternoon, World Wrestling Entertainment has released Mickie James, Katie Lea, Shelton Benjamin, Slam Master J and Jimmy Wang Yang. It would appear that WWE’s decision to cut James was sudden as she competed at Tuesday’s SmackDown television taping in Uncasville, Connecticut. Fans will have the opportunity to catch her one final time inside a WWE ring tomorrow night on Friday Night SmackDown as she teams up with Beth Phoenix to take on Michelle McCool and Layla.
Furthermore, WWE deleted all profiles of today’s released performers off of WWEUniverse.com. James and Burchill, among others, held accounts on the social networking website. WWE has also removed James and Yang from its follow list on Twitter.
— Tonight at the 717 South restaurant in Tampa, Kelly Kelly will be taking part in a charity bartending event for the National Humane Society. The WWE Diva noted on Twitter: “ANd come see me and my amazing bartending skills hehe cant wait to raise money for the humane society my favorite charity It starts at 8 :)”
— Lilian Garcia is auctioning off the sexy black dress she wore for her “one night only” return to WWE this past Monday night on Raw. You can view the auction here.
