NXT star released by WWE

Per reports from Wrestlinginc, WWE has released the Chinese Wrestling Star HoHo Lun from his NXT contract, though no official statement has been sent out by the company so far.

Lun was a part of the WWE Cruiserweight Classic Tournament last year where he won his first round match but was defeated in the second round by current WWE Star Noam Dar.

He later signed a contract with the company and took part in the 2016 edition of NXT’s Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic Tournament while teaming up with Tian Bing.

When WWE announced 205 Live, HoHo was announced as a roster member for the cruiserweight centric show, though he never made an appearance on it.
