NXT Star Says He’s Bringing Brutality Back to WWE, Top Name Doing Shoot Interview, Angle & Bruno

– In the video below, Ring Fever catches up with WWE Hall of Famer Bruno Sammartino and Kurt Angle at the Arnold Classic earlier this year:

– RF Video noted on Facebook that they are conducting a rare shoot interview with Eric Bischoff this week. They have been trying to get a shoot with Bischoff for over a decade so it should be interesting.

– WWE’s website recently spoke with NXT star Bull Dempsey, who will face Mojo Rawley at Takeover 2 on September 11th. Dempsey has proclaimed himself to be old school, a throwback and “the last of a dying breed.” He says he’s looking to bring brutality back to WWE. Dempsey trained under ECW Original Taz and named Taz, Matt Borne, Steve Austin, Terry Funk and Dick Murdoch as his influences. Dempsey commented on himself and that group of wrestlers:

“I think it’s far too long since somebody like me has shown up. A lot of the guys I’m going to tell you about are forgotten or they’re wrestlers that people miss. Thankfully, this is a time when our industry is getting back to their kind of values. I’m just the right guy to bring it back to the forefront.”

I don’t think that’s anywhere near what he meant. I think that’s just what you chose to read. He meant he was going to bring back a rugged brand of wrestling where it was more fighting than actual wrestling and an aggressive style to his arsenal.

In other words: I don’t really have anything original to offer, so I’m going to wrestle as if it’s 1988, and I’m the next “Monster heel” being fed to Hogan.
