Bobby Fish, one half of the NXT Tag Team Champions, suffered what seemed like a serious knee injury in Indianapolis, Indiana. Fish and Kyle O’Reilly were taking on Heavy Machinery for the titles when Fish went down, with referee Drake Wuertz throwing up the “X.”
Fish rolled out of the ring and immediately began holding his knee. He stayed on the outside to get medical attention and never returned to the match. The match finished with O’Reilly securing a roll-up victory when Adam Cole came out to distract Otiz Dozovic, who O’Reilly pinned.

It’s unknown as of right now how serious the injury is, but with Fish immediately having to abandon his partner to seek assistance, it doesn’t look good for the tag champs.
Fish and O’Reilly were scheduled to defend their belts against the winners of the Dusty Rhodes Invitational at NXT Takeover: Orlando. However, if Fish’s injury turns out to be severe, it’s possible the tournament could lead to the crowning of new champions instead.
