– Over on WWE.com, in the title history section, the original “WWE Tag Team Championship,” which dates back to the 1970s, has been retired. The Hart Dynasty are listed as the final champions. The active titles, which are held by Dashing Cody Rhodes and Drew McIntyre, have their lineage beginning in 2002.
– Smackdown debuts on SyFy this Friday.
– SyFy will be airing a one-hour “Countdown” special at 7 PM Eastern before the debut. The special will air live from Oklahoma City.
– NXT finishes up its run on SyFy tomorrow night. After that, the show will not be on TV in the US and will become a WWE.com project. WWE was not able to sell the show to another cable network under the NBC Universal umbrella.
– NXT will continue to air in international markets.
