Original plan for WWE Money in the Bank 2018 main event, backstage notes from last night

– Last night’s WWE Money in the Bank pay-per-view was originally slated to close with the Raw Women’s Championship bout featuring Ronda Rousey vs. Champion Nia Jax, including the finish with Alexa Bliss cashing in her MITB contract. The decision was taken over the weekend however to close out the show with the Men’s MITB ladder match, which was of course won by Braun Strowman.

– Backstage at last night’s pay-per-view were Pat Patterson, Bruce Prichard and John “Big” Gaburick.

– James Ellsworth’ made his WWE return at last night’s PPV, but there had been talk of bringing back the ‘Chinless Wonder’ earlier. The ‘Greatest Royal Rumble’ in Saudia Arabia was discussed at one point and there was a pitch to involve him in that bout.

I’m so sick of Alexa Bliss give other woman opportunities. Nia Jax deserved a longer title reign. Like wtf that was her 1st championship ever and she had it so short. Vince sure has a thing for blondes ugh.

She probably has some Hollywood stuff to do. Plus they still think they are a PPV company and want to save her match for SummerSlam to make her seem more important.

Thats why they just gave her a 30 day suspension.

They are really trying to force Ronda on people, which will backfire in the end. Smart call.

Well as the PPV is called MITB, it makes sense that the main event lives up to that name.
