Original Plans for Awesome Truth, Steve Austin Debuts BSR Title Belt and More

– The Rock and John Cena are featured on the cover of the 2011 WWE Survivor Series DVD.

– WWE had been planning for The Miz and R-Truth to win the Tag Team Titles from Evan Bourne and Kofi Kingston after the Survivor Series pay-per-view. A combination of Bourne and Truth failing Wellness tests changed those plans and now, as noted before, The Miz is headed back to the WWE Title picture. It’s possible Miz may get his shot at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view.

– Steve Austin posted a teaser photo of his new Broken Skull Ranch title belt and promised more details to come. You can see it below:

I really liked Awesome Truth, and thought they would have brought a LOT of respectability back to the tag team division. I don’t really understand breaking them up so soon. Back when I first started watching wrestling, tag teams were main event quality, and weren’t billed as being afraid of singles wrestlers. Guys like the Road Warriors, the Freebirds, and the Minnesota Wrecking Crew would mix it up with the singles champions all the time. Awesome Truth hearkened back to that attitude, but I guess the WWE didn’t want that.

I agree with Bill… Miz and R-Truth have been the best thing on RAW by far over the last few weeks.

What? I loved Awesome Truth! Oh well. Miz deserves to be in the title picture again. He’s far from a “one & done”.

I hate to say it, but I agree with Cena. No one really cares about those two. They weren’t really going anywhere anyway.
